| The Minstrel TearoomThe tearoom opening times are 10am to 5pm on normal country estate and house opening days. Children are welcome in the courtyard tearoom and a children’s menu is available everyday.
The tearoom is fully licensed with a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. We have recently added a new coffee machine for fresh speciality coffees. |
| Here in the Minstrel tearoom the emphasis is on quality and simplicity. We try to provide an attractive and enticing menu, consisting of homemade food, ranging from soups and sandwiches to salads and home baking using locally produced ingredients. |

Between 1831 and 1832 it was decided to move the main entrance to Bowhill from the south side to the north side. This alteration meant moving the staircase from the central axis of the house to the west, enlarging the Gallery Hall and extending the drawing room to take in the entrance hall and porch of the replaced south entrance |
