Heritage Week – Bowhill’s Slain Man’s Lea   
 The Lady’s Walk in Bowhill Estate has some very dark history hanging over it. Join us to hear the story of the massacre told partly in song and poetry. Once the noise of the Battle of Philiphaugh faded the screams of victims continued. Includes a visit to Newark Castle and…….  Distance of 3miles/5km. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Meet in the courtyard at Bowhill House and Country Estate.

Join us for our annual Harvest Festival and Scarecrow Competition. Discover the art of corn dolly making, judge the Scarecrow competition and enjoy some family entertainment. Enter a scarecrow and you could win £100 – download the online form from www.bowhill.org

Do you know your malts from your blends or your Highland from your Lowland? Join us for an informal evening of whisky tasting which will include some very special treats from around the country. 
Tickets £25, including light refreshment.


• Thursday 21st November: Rivalries! Reynolds and Gainsborough in the Buccleuch art Collection
Join our House Manager for an after hours tour of Bowhill with particular focus on two of the most well-known artists in the collection, Reynolds and Gainsborough.
This informal evening starts with supper and glass of wine.
