It's an Education at Bowhill!

Please keep returning to these pages as we update this part of our website.

We are currently working on making sure that everything we offer at Bowhill in our education programme is relevant to the curriculum for excellence, to guarantee that not only will pupils  have an enjoyable day but that teachers can be assured that what we offer is highly relevant to the curriculum.

Meantime, let us tell you about our transport offer for schools.

The Duke of Buccleuch is personally committed to the education of all visitors to Bowhill, particularly to the younger generation, and as such we offer all schools in Borders Region a transport subsidy to remove the burden of the cost of travel.  All schools wishing to visit us, all year round, will receive £175 towards the transport costs for their visit.  We have found that in most cases this cover the full cost, and in the others covers the greater proportion of the cost of bus hire.  There is no limit to how often you can use the subsidy and invoices are sent directly to us to avoid any inconvenience to school offices.  Pupils are then charged £2 per visit, with teachers free.

To find out more about this offer please contact us on 01750 22204
