| Water Garden
A path from the adventure playground leads down into a lovely secluded clearing into which a great deal of planning and effort has gone to create a small water garden. This would have been one of many locations in which the Victorian residents of Bowhill would spend their leisure time, or visit while on a summer's evening stroll.
From old maps of the estate dating from 1863 a summer house is shown situated in the water garden. Today however no visible trace of the summer house remains. Housever if you use your imagination you can picture the Victorians coming for a stroll, sitting in the summer house and watching the sun's reflection on the water as it set.
